With the Nikon 125x optical zoom COOLPIX P1000 digital camera, you can take pictures at incredible distances. The built-in NIKKOR lens on this camera, which has a 16MP backside-illuminated CMOS sensor, offers a 24-to-3000mm equivalent focal length range in 35mm terms. With 250x Dynamic Fine digital zoom, you can zoom even farther and get a 6000mm equivalent focal length.
Nikon’s Dual Detect Optical Vibration Reduction, which offers 5 stops of optical image stabilization and guarantees your telephoto photos are sharp, is paired with these extreme focal lengths. Your subjects will always be simple to see because of the 3.2″ every-angle, 921k-dot LCD panel, and the eye-level 2.36m-dot electronic viewfinder that grace the rear of the camera. The camera accepts an external microphone through a 3.5mm connection and can capture 4K UHD video at 30 or 25 frames per second.
When using a tripod to take pictures at very long focal lengths, camera shaking could be an issue. Alternatively, you might need to control the P1000 remotely. These requirements are met by the optional ML-L7 remote, which offers wireless control of the camera’s zoom, shutter, and other settings. Using the Nikon SnapBridge app, the camera’s in-built Wi-Fi and Bluetooth, and the Nikon SnapBridge app, you can instantly access your photographs on a partnered smartphone after a shot.
At sensitivities between ISO 100 and 6400, the backside-illuminated sensor’s 16 million effective pixels may provide detailed photos. At 30 or 25 frames per second, it can also produce 4K UHD videos.
Few, if any, things are beyond the focal range of your lens because of its ludicrous 24-3000mm (35mm equivalent) focus range. The maximum focal length is an absurd 6000mm thanks to Dynamic Fine digital zoom, which further enhances zoom. For clear handheld images, Dual Detect Optical Vibration Reduction offers 5 stops of optical image stabilization.
The P1000 has a powerful variable-angle 3.2 “Easy to use LCD display for creating and reviewing photos and videos. Additionally offered is the 0.39 “OLED electronic viewfinder with 2.36 million dots for a more conventional shooting technique.
Focus, exposure, white balance, and ISO may all be changed from the lens barrel by turning a control ring on the front of the camera. In case you lose sight of your subject at long focal lengths, the P1000 will immediately zoom out thanks to a dedicated Snapback button and a zoom toggle on the barrel. The focus length will revert to its original setting once the button is released.
With Nikon’s SnapBridge technology, you can easily transfer photos from your camera to a connected smartphone device.
There are several shooting modes on the P1000 that let you customize settings for things like portraiture, pyrotechnics, and sunsets. The well-liked Moon Mode is excellent for photographing Earth’s nearest neighbor, and the brand-new Bird Mode optimizes the camera for taking pictures of the frequently vivid and colorful species.
The ML-L7 remote control (not included) can remotely change a number of settings, including ISO, zoom, and aperture, as well as start the P1000’s shutter. This enables tripod-based photography while maintaining exact composition.
The EN-EL20a battery has a charge life of 250 shots. Recharging only takes around 3 hours.
